Leaving your baby any time soon? Whether you’re about to do it for the first time or the fifth, listen here to gain valuable tips on navigating your separation. This interview-style episode tackles anxiety while leaving your little one and how it can make your time away less enjoyable. Join Bri & Felicia as they reveal some unique ways to soothe fears/feel more confident while you’re away!

Felicia’s tips for mama’s:

  • Check in as often as you need but remember you can set a time with your spouse/caretaker to put your phone away for a bit
  • Participate in deep breathing exercises, listening to some music, coloring, reading, or something that you enjoy that relaxes you
  • Prepare for the anxiety peaking by making a mental or physical list of activities to do like breathing, checking in, music, etc. 


Felicia’s tips for baby:

  • Try out small increments of time away starting a month before the big getaway 
  • Get your baby a “comfort” item that may help them when you are away such as a sweater/shirt, stuffed animal, pacifier (if applicable) or blanket
  • Leave instructions (especially if you’re very particular!!) or check in now and then to make sure you are comfortable with how things are going
  • Avoid showing them your face or calling them (when they can hear you) frequently if you are aware it can upset them more than help them! This can you leave you and baby feeling worse
